Subject
Subject of this final thesis is to document everyday life in a young order in switzerland. This work illustrates the life in a non-traditional cloister, the persons and characters of the brotherhood and the individual motivation to join the cloister. Important is the view of an »outsider« portraying the atmosphere of the life in the cloister.
Motivation and Goal
What brings people to join an order today? Who are the »brothers« ? What does life in the cloister consist of? Many people have a preconceived picture of life in the cloister. Such as, praying monks, candlelight, devotional silence, reverent discipline. The goal is to get the observer of this book involved in the life of the community to be able to see the »human in the monk«. Visualized are emotions and impressions to pause and contemplate.
